The days are getting shorter and there is a crispness in the air, but there is still time to visit some of Salt Lake City’s amazing outdoor attractions! One of my absolute favorites is the Hogle Zoo. The kids are back in school and the summer crowds are gone. Take this time to get a closer look at all the great animals. This year, Hogle Zoo opened its Arctic exhibit and welcomed a few new guests! One new addition is a female polar bear named Rizzo. I have personally seen her playful antics, and it’s breathtaking to be that close to such a magnificent animal. Another must see is baby Zuri, an African Elephant who was actually born right here in Salt Lake’s Hogle Zoo. Everyone at the zoo is pretty proud of her! On October 26th from 9am-3pm, pack up your little animals and head to Hogle for Boo At The Zoo! This is great fun for kids 12 and under, where they can come in costume and trick or treat at over 20 candy booths! This place is a must see. There is so much to learn, and Hogle Zoo takes their impact seriously, with a great deal of focus on fundraising, conservation, and education. So whether you are traveling from out of town (staying with us of course!) or you are a Salt Lake City native, it’s worth the trip for this amazing experience.
